Distribution range: Varanus salvator macromaculatus inhabits the Southeast Asian mainland (NE-India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, and southern China) as well as Sumatra, Borneo and numerous smaller off-shore islands.
