Pronolagus rupestris is one of the three species in the Pronolagus genus.
The two others are : Pronolagus randensis and Pronolagus crassicaudatus.
This specie is very similar to Poelagus marjorita but their habitats are quiet different.
Actually Poelagus marjorita are grass-hares and Pronolagus rupestris are called rockhares because of their habitat, they live in stony and rocky zones.
NB: every species on the genus Pronolagus are rockhares.
