Genetta pardina I. Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire, 1832

Common name: pardine genet.
Synonyms: amer Gray, 1843; dubia Matschie, 1902; pantherina Hamilton-Smith, 1842. The series of specimens representing genettoides Temminck, 1853, are possibly hybrids between G. pardina and G. maculata .
Distribution: Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Senegal, Sierra Leone.
Habitat: rain forest, woodland savannah, savannah-forest mosaic, dry savannah.
Sympatric species: G. bourloni, G. genetta, G. johnstoni, G. poensis, G. thierryi, P. leightoni.
